My Why:
In 2019, I received my first professional camera and wanted to photograph everything. This included my grandparents in the house my Pop built, and the fields he farmed all his life.
I didn't know it then, but he would soon be diagnosed with Alzheimer's, and this would be the last photo I would have where he could confidently recall my name.
We so often take time and the ones we love for granted. I would give anything to have one more picture of him tinkering on his antique tractor or looking out the window at "his deer."
This is why Legacy Sessions exist:
To honor the rocks in our family and have something tangible that memory can't fade.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How long are Legacy Sessions? A: Legacy Sessions are intentionally relaxed and unhurried. Rather than placing a strict time limit on the experience, I block off either a morning, afternoon, or evening depending on the season, location, and activities we want to document together.
Q: How many people can be present during the session? A: I recommend having 1–2 close family members present during the interview portion for comfort and conversation support. These sessions are designed to center around your loved one’s story, so larger family portraits are offered as an optional add-on.
Q: Where do Legacy Sessions usually take place? A: Most Legacy Sessions take place in your loved one’s home so we can document the spaces, routines, and details that are already meaningful to your family. Sessions can also happen on family land, at a favorite fishing spot, in a workshop, garden, church, or anywhere else connected to their story.
Q: Do married couples need separate sessions? A: No! Married couples can share one Legacy Session together. The interview naturally includes a mix of individual questions and shared memories. You’ll receive one joint memoir album, with the option to add an additional album if desired.
Q: Can multiple family members contribute toward the session? A: Absolutely, many families choose to treat this as a shared gift. On the inquiry form, I’ll ask for the email addresses of any family members who would like to contribute, so everyone can stay informed throughout the process.
Q: How long does it take to receive the final album and photos? A: Final galleries are typically delivered within 6–8 weeks, while custom photo albums may take additional time depending on design revisions and printing.
Q: Can we include old family photographs or heirlooms? A: Absolutely. I highly encourage incorporating meaningful items like old photographs, letters, recipes, military memorabilia, quilts, tools, handwritten notes, or family heirlooms that help tell your loved one’s story.
Q: Are payment plans available? A: Yes. A $400 retainer is required to reserve your session date. The remaining balance can then be paid in monthly installments over the following 3 months.
Q: How far do you travel? A: Anywhere your loved ones are. Legacy Sessions are designed to meet people in the places that matter most to them. Travel fees only apply for locations more than 50 miles from Conway, Arkansas.
